It seems to me that the essential hinge point in all of this is for two opposition leaders to sign the necessary secrecy papers so they can be given the necessary info. As long as those two opposition leaders continue to stand on the sidelines, criticizing rather than participating, then how can this author’s valid approach ever get off the ground? Am I correct that their lack of participation is the real problem?

Wrong - their lack of participation is because if they signed, they couldn't say anything to anyone about the names. Only the PM is exempt - I heard. So that is an unfair advantage.

A “briefing” for a member of the Privy Council is different from Trudeau’s “super-duper extra special secret decoder ring” oath that muzzles and handcuffs the Opposition Leaders. Pierre Poilievre has already agreed to a briefing.

Oh dear, if you’re really buying into that “briefing” argument, you’re a KoolAid peddler not just a drinker.

Just as we each are so far allowed an opinion, we each are allowed just one vote. Neither your opinion nor your vote counts more than mine. Bottoms up!

I feel as a Canadian citizen that we should know who they are, so that we don't vote for them again in November. It's already pretty bad that they might have shared trusted secrets to a foriegn entity and undermined Canada's democracy. I'm still really furious about this.

Those who did wrong should be prosecuted. It's the "might haves" that worries me. I fear that the simplest reaction is to "kill them all and let a god sort them out". I can't agree. The proposed solution seems to be reasonable. Assuming that the party leader is not suspect :)

Our next federal election is currently to be held not later than October 20, 2025. The US federal election is November 2024. Unless you know something the rest of us don’t, we will not be voting in November.

Sorry, I meant October.
